Late Bloomin’; Bloomin’ Late
As they always say, it’s never too late… and in my case, I’m referring to… blogging. This is my very first blog of 2005.
I must say, 2004 was a VERY busy year for me. A great deal happened in my life and I have had so many blessings. My absolute biggest accomplishments for 2004 HAVE to be my beloved documentary, Sex Education In Malaysia and surviving living in K.L. on my own, without my parents…supporting myself financially (wow!). I mean let’s face it, not many single Malaysians can say that they are financially independent from their parents, I think just about everyone I know in K.L. (who is single), is still living with their parents. So, it’s a BIG deal to me that I’m “makin’ it” on my own. I was so incredibly freaked out about my mom leaving last year. There were countless sleepless nights and waves of hyperventilation that plagued me towards the end of June 2004; the result of imagining living on my own in K.L. without Mom….it was, unimaginable.
It’s amazing how humans allow themselves to be consumed by self doubt when faced with situations that are “new”. I never ever would have been able to imagine myself living the life I’m living now. You just have to believe: in you.
